It’s been a long time since I’ve done a “church basement” wedding, truly of the cake and punch variety. I think it’s such a sweet, old fashioned way to get married. So I was really excited that Melanie and Paul chose me to document their big day! In addition, Paul’s from Uganda, which added an extra layer of fun for me. I’ve done many multicultural weddings but I’ve never had a bride or groom from an African nation, and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. What I got was an exuberantly overjoyed mother of the groom who did not hold back on expressing her happiness! What fun! The whole wedding was a profound expression of Melanie and Paul’s love for each other and their shared, deep faith. I had a wonderful time and I hope my pictures really show how happy they were on their big day.
