I haven’t updated my blog in ages — sorry, readers! Hopefully this will make up for it! Jacqui and Brian were my last wedding of the season, on a VERY cold and rainy day in October. I have shot more weddings than I can possibly count, and I can honestly tell you this is the coldest wedding I’ve ever done. Never mind the freezing weather though, because this is a hot couple! Jacqui and Brian’s wedding ceremony took place in the pavilion at Cheesman Park in Denver and their reception was at Mile High Station. They took a very non-traditional approach: Jacqui walked up the aisle to “Lovesong” by the Cure (one of my personal favorites), they exchanged vows in private, in writing, and they eschewed all the “normal” conventions at their reception (no cake, no first dance or parent dances, no bouquet toss — just an awesome party). It might have been a cold day, but it was very cool wedding and I had a great time. Thanks Jacqui and Brian for letting me record your awesome day! You guys are the best!

These are Jacqui’s wedding shoes — wow!
Jacqui went for a very 1940’s look.
This image doesn’t really illustrate how cold and rainy it was that day. It never got above 35 degrees!
I love the bridesmaids’ leopard-spotted shoes!
By the time we got to these last few poses I couldn’t feel my feet! Jacqui and Brian were real troopers though, posing like supermodels out there in the cold.
I just love this timeless portrait of Jacqui.
Brian and Jacqui almost ran out of gas on the way to the reception!
Jacqui changed into a vintage-inspired party frock for the second half of the night.
