What a perfect, perfect day! Kate and Mark chose to hold their wedding in Vail because it’s a town that’s close to Mark’s heart (and now Kate’s a convert!). The ceremony was held at Piney River Ranch, and their wedding reception was at the Donovan Pavilion. We had a perfect, Colorado mountain day — blue skies, sunshine. Gorgeous scenery, gorgeous bride, handsome groom. Fabulous!

As we were taking the formal group portraits, a tree several yards away cracked in two and fell to the ground with a resounding thud. So that answers the eternal question, “If a tree falls in the woods…” I can tell you that 21 people heard it! ;o)
