Liz and Michael’s maternity session was special, because I’ve been photographing Michael’s large family in one way or another for over a decade now. Wedding pictures, baby portraits, family gatherings — you name it, I have documented it for the extended Ziccardi family and I’ve enjoyed every minute. So when Michael and Liz got engaged, I was tickled that they chose me to photograph their wedding. The early days of the pandemic forced a bit of a change in their plans and they ended up eloping, but even so, I got the photograph their special day — its tiny scale made it even more sweet and romantic, in my eyes. (The last photo in this series is from their wedding day, just for fun.)

When Michael and Liz announced that they were having a baby, I was extremely honored to be asked to document their pregnancy and newborn portraits. These pictures were taken on July 8th, and the baby arrived yesterday! It’s a little boy and I can’t wait to meet him and take his first official portraits in few days.
