I took these snapshots of my friend Juli’s daughter Claire almost eight years ago, and just came across them last night when going through my archives. Let me share a little secret with you: when you’re a photographer, you are your own worst critic. The longer you work in this field, the harder you are on yourself. I remember visiting Juli in June of 2007, and not being able to resist taking a few snapshots of little Claire because she looked so cute. But upon reviewing the pictures a few hours later, I decided that they were all terrible, and I never even showed them to Juli! I look at them today and think they’re adorable. Typical! Claire is now almost nine, is still extremely adorable, and is into scouting, swimming, running and choir. How time flies!
Amy & Tyler’s maternity portraits!
I can’t tell you how excited I am about Amy and Tyler’s baby, because I’m the lucky photographer who gets to document his or her first year! I shot Amy and Tyler’s wedding in 2010, so I was tickled to hear their baby news. We did these sweet maternity portraits last week at Cheesman Park in Denver (all the while dodging the many spring sun worshippers playing hooky from school or work). It was so good to see these guys again, and Amy you are looking radiant! I can’t wait to meet your little one!
S & A :: six months old!
Just look at these little stinkers! I had A and S in the studio a couple of weeks ago with their mommy, Alli, for their official Six Months portraits. Oh the cuteness. I can’t stand it. If you don’t hear from me again, it’s because I died from Cuteness Overload. ♥
There was no getting A’s hair to cooperate. The bedhead is adorable!

Look who’s six months old!
Alli brought her little ladies in to the studio yesterday for their official six months portraits! So stinking cute! Actually, S and A were born in mid-August, so technically they’re six and-a-half months old. Little twinsies, so sweet and roly poly and adorable! This is just a little sneak peek of the many cute portraits I got. More later, promise!
Colorado Springs family photography :: the Emerys
Jeff, Rachael and their two cuties, R and J, had me on my toes taking these sweet family portraits at a downtown Colorado Springs park recently! It was such a beautiful early fall day, the light was perfect and golden, and we had a wonderful time. They are so cute!
