Jaime & Logan’s Colorado Springs wedding

[ Colorado Springs wedding photography ]

Logan and Jaime’s fabulous wedding at the Cheyenne Mountain Conference Resort took place on June 19th, a typically windy and sunny Colorado day. Not only was the ceremony very emotional and sweet, Jaime and Logan put on a rip roarin’ party, as you’ll see from the pictures. They have some extremely fun friends! Congrats to Jaime and Logan on their union!

I love the color scheme — leaf green and terra cotta. Beautiful!

I wonder if the bridesmaids noticed that they had a little helper.

Married! Hip hip hooray!

Cheyenne Mountain Conference Resort is so pretty.

Dave & Kathy’s wedding at the Sunbird

As you can see, Kathy and Dave are not my usual 20- or 30-something bride and groom. They are, in fact, in their 60s, and Dave is happily retired. Both of them have grown children who are happy to see them find love a second time around. I thoroughly enjoyed this wedding and am especially happy for these two lovebirds. Dave and Kathy, happy honeymoon!

Kathy’s “something old” was this vintage necklace, worn as a bracelet.

The beautiful bouquet featured pink peonies and white feathers. So romantic!

David watching his bride walk up the aisle on her children’s arms. The reverend is a close personal friend of theirs, and clearly he was touched by the sight as well. Wonderful moment captured by my assistant Allison.

The grandkids.

Everyone wore name/description tags as an ice breaker. This is Kathy’s son, Adam. He and his wife Laura are good friends of mine.

The paparazzi line up for the cake cutting.

Now this is how you eat wedding cake! No holds barred!

Colorado Springs maternity portraits: a baby for Tania & Matt

[ Colorado Springs portrait photography ]

Matt and Tania are expecting their first baby any day now. We did these portraits last week, on a day that alternated between blindingly sunny and soft cloud cover. Some were done in the studio, but we quickly moved outdoors to Monument Valley Park, one of my favorite locations. Just look at these two — they are going to have a beautiful baby!

I love this picture!

I love this one too — I think it may be my favorite of the day.

Tania has the most mesmerizing eyes of anyone I’ve ever met.

The day after…

Most couples have neither the time nor the inclination to break away from their wedding day festivities for a couple of hours to go to multiple locations and pose for a series of seriously rad pictures. That’s why I offer Day After shoots — a way for you to get the incredible images you want without stress and pressure of your actual wedding day. It’s relaxed, fun and you don’t have to worry about abandoning your guests or anything else. The resulting images can be simply amazing! Imagine a special, custom-designed album filled with images like these! Wow!

Rhea’s senior portraits

[ Colorado Springs senior portrait photographer ]

While in California last month I had the great pleasure of doing senior portraits of my beautiful niece, Rhea. This is hard for me to believe, because it was only yesterday that I was driving to Memorial Hospital to do her first portraits, the day after she was born. As you can see, Rhea has turned out to be very, very beautiful. I’m proud to say that she is just as lovely on the inside as well. She is an A student; she is charming, polite and adorable in every way. She is a loving and wonderful big sister to her three siblings. She is a joy to her parents and all of us who love her. Congratulations on your impending graduation Rhea, you make us all so very proud!
