Cheyenne Mountain Resort wedding: Aerinne & Kevin

[ Colorado Springs wedding photographers ]
Aerinne and Kevin don’t live here, and neither do their families. In fact, everyone’s spread out on opposite ends of the country. They chose Colorado Springs for their wedding because it was right in the middle! We had a VERY sunny September day for this great wedding, and the reception was a blast. Congrats to Aerinne and Kevin! Thanks for letting me document your Colorado Springs wedding!

Aerinne had two dresses — one for the ceremony and one for the party. And (a girl after my own heart) she of course had two pairs of shoes as well. These are the party shoes. Love!

Fresh orchids on the dress strap: nice touch!

There was a funny little moment during the ceremony when Aerinne couldn’t get Kevin’s ring onto his finger. Finally he took pity on her and put it on himself.

I told them, “I don’t do the ‘jump shot’!” But they really wanted to do it, so I acquiesced. I think it came out pretty good!

Amy & Tyler’s downtown Denver wedding

[ Denver wedding photographer ]

Tyler and Amy were married last month at beautiful Holy Ghost church, followed by a reception at the swanky Oxford Hotel. We had absolutely perfect weather, and enough time to run around and take pictures at all the cool downtown Denver landmarks. It was fun! Before I left for the night, I coaxed Amy and Tyler outside for one more cool pose, in front of the train station. Love it!

Holy Ghost is a gorgeous church, a real Denver landmark.

Another Denver landmark: the Union Station. I’ve always loved the interior.

The Denver Art Museum. I never tire of photographing it.

I love the light in this place!

As I was making my way around the ballroom taking detail shots before the party, I came across Amy’s father’s crib notes for his toast.

The ballroom at the Oxford Hotel. What a swell place for a wedding reception!

Cutest flower girl ever! Until the next one, that is ;^)

Amy was very moved by her father’s toast.

Amy’s mom, Val, was also quite emotional. I love this moment.

Jaime & Logan’s Colorado Springs wedding

[ Colorado Springs wedding photography ]

Logan and Jaime’s fabulous wedding at the Cheyenne Mountain Conference Resort took place on June 19th, a typically windy and sunny Colorado day. Not only was the ceremony very emotional and sweet, Jaime and Logan put on a rip roarin’ party, as you’ll see from the pictures. They have some extremely fun friends! Congrats to Jaime and Logan on their union!

I love the color scheme — leaf green and terra cotta. Beautiful!

I wonder if the bridesmaids noticed that they had a little helper.

Married! Hip hip hooray!

Cheyenne Mountain Conference Resort is so pretty.

One last shot before I went home.

Dave & Kathy’s wedding at the Sunbird

[ Colorado Springs wedding photographer ]

As you can see, Kathy and Dave are not my usual 20- or 30-something bride and groom. They are, in fact, in their 60s, and Dave is happily retired. Both of them have grown children who are happy to see them find love a second time around. I thoroughly enjoyed this wedding and am especially happy for these two lovebirds. Dave and Kathy, happy honeymoon!

Kathy’s “something old” was this vintage necklace, worn as a bracelet.

The beautiful bouquet featured pink peonies and white feathers. So romantic!

David watching his bride walk up the aisle on her children’s arms. The reverend is a close personal friend of theirs, and clearly he was touched by the sight as well. Wonderful moment captured by my assistant Allison.

The grandkids.

Everyone wore name/description tags as an ice breaker. This is Kathy’s son, Adam. He and his wife Laura are good friends of mine.

Now this is how you eat wedding cake! No holds barred!
