Ashaley & Sean’s wedding at the Pinery

At the end of February I had the pleasure of documenting Ashaley and Sean’s beautiful wedding at the Pinery in Black Forest. Ashaley was such a lovely, giddy bride, and Sean had a huge grin on his face all day long! I enjoy shooting weddings at the Pinery because the chapel and the ballroom are adjacent to one another. At any time of year you can have a complete celebration and the weather is barely a factor.

This was a great wedding. I had a lot of fun working with the happy couple and their families (extremely nice people!), and I think Ashaley looked simply gorgeous!

A hug from mom Bev before the ceremony.

Another great ceremony capture by Allison.

The flower girl, Alisha, looking perfectly adorable during the vows.

Meanwhile the ringbearer, Mason, wasn’t too impressed.

I live for those first few giddy moments after the ceremony!

We braved the chill to capture a little of that late afternoon golden light.

I love sparkler exits!

Erin & Christopher’s Briarhurst wedding

Here’s Erin and Christopher’s fabulous wedding at the Briarhurst Manor last month! Everything about this wedding was eye candy. Erin’s such a glamorpuss — she was totally into her wedding, down to the soles of her BCBG shoes. Congrats Erin and Chris!

Erin got dressed in the Clark Gable suite at the Cliff House.

I would love to know what this conversation was about!

The flower girls (Christopher’s nieces) were adorable. Everyone went nuts when they walked up the aisle.

Fabulous bouquet!

Erin’s so photogenic it should be illegal.

Erin’s “something old” was her grandmother’s wristwatch.

I was outside taking a quick break during dinner when they decided to smooch.

Leslie & Brian

[ Denver wedding photographer ]

On July 25th I had the pleasure of second shooting Leslie and Brian’s Denver Art Museum wedding with my good friend Charlotte Geary. What a stylish couple! All the portraits took place on the rooftop of a luxury highrise with a spectacular view of downtown Denver. Leslie was extremely chic, and so was their color palette: apple green and chocolate brown. The entire event was a stylish tour de force. I have always loved the Denver Art Museum, since my days as an art student back in college. What a treat to shoot such a fabulous wedding there!

The bridal bouquet was gorgeous!

Leslie was such a glamorpuss — the camera loved her.

Leslie’s grandparents. I think they’re cute!

The ceremony took place under a willow arch adorned with orchids and crystals.

The light in that room was spectacular!

Allison + Andy

[ Boulder wedding photographer ]
A couple of weekends ago I had the pleasure of second shooting for the fabulous Autumn Burke at Andy and Allison’s Planet Bluegrass wedding in Lyons, Colorado. I’d never even heard of Planet Bluegrass, let alone been there. What a cool venue! It’s verdant and rustic in a Colorado sort of way, and the Lyons River runs right through the property. There are wildflowers everywhere.

I totally fell in love with the happy couple too! Allison’s an art teacher, and you can see how creative she is by the attention she paid to fantastic little details like parasols, menus and place cards. Andy owns a skate shop — it doesn’t get much hipper than that!

Congrats Andy and Allison! I’m so happy to have been a small part of your big day.

Planet Bluegrass must have been a farm at one time, because there’s a silo in the middle of the giant lawn. Here’s a shot looking upward through the silo.

Allison’s bouquet featured multicolored ribbons wound round the stems.

In a nod to Andy’s passion for skating, all the guys wore Vans.

They opted for western shirts instead of tuxes.

First glimpse.

A couple of Andy’s groomsmen hopped on a tricycle and rode through the pre-ceremony portraits.

Parasols were at the ready to shield guests from sun or rain.

The ceremony took place right on the banks of the Lyons River.

Allison replaced her veil with this chic head headpiece for the party.

The clever menus.
