Aaron & Kelly’s Denver Botanic Gardens wedding

[ Denver wedding photographer ]

Aaron and Kelly have been together for nearly a decade, so their wedding was highly anticipated. They chose the gorgeous Denver Botanic Gardens for their wedding ceremony — one of my favorite places in the world, as a matter of fact. Their elegant reception took place on the 37th floor of the Grand Hyatt in downtown Denver. What a view!

The thing I like most about Aaron and Kelly is that, even after ten years as a couple, they’re still clearly gaga for each other. I think it shows in their pictures :o)

The florist incorporated Kelly’s grandmother’s vintage jewelry into the bridal bouquet.

Wonderful capture by my second shooter, Ginger Houser of Blue Sequoia Photography.

The vows.

Waiting out a thunderstorm. Kelly anxiously reviews her vows, while the flower girl Kristen obviously finds all this wedding nonsense to be quite dull.

Tourists admire and congratulate Kelly as she makes her way to the ceremony site.

The best man, Andrew, is one of my grooms from 2006! Excellent ceremony capture by my assistant Allison.

Another great shot by Ginger.

I love shooting portraits at the Botanic Gardens!

As I was doing formals of Kelly I asked her to look at her new husband, and this is the expression I captured. Love!

Brandon & Stephanie

One of my favorite weddings ever! What a wonderful, wonderful couple and I am so happy for them! Stephanie and Brandon met at work and started dating, which was a no-no according to company policy. They weren’t going to let that little rule stand in the way of true love, though. Now they work at separate places, ha! The wedding took place on July 12th at the Denver Botanic Gardens, one of my favorite places in the entire world, and the reception was at the JW Marriott in Cherry Creek. Every moment of the day was simply bursting with joy. I really had fun recording all that, even though it was scorching hot out! These two are adorable and they deserve every happiness. Big hugs and congrats to you, Steph and Brandon!

Practicing her vows in Mom’s kitchen before heading to the ceremony.

Stephanie vowed to Brandon that she would love Snickers (their cat) and John Elway as much as he does.

The Japanese Garden in the Denver Botanic Gardens is, to me, a little slice of heaven. I love to go there and just sit. What a wonderful place for a portrait.

I caught this quiet little moment of them in the lounge just before they jumped into the reception.

Brandon’s aunt danced the flamenco for us while her husband played Spanish guitar. They were really good! The crowd was enthralled.

Just after cutting the cake. How’s this for passion?!?

At twilight I coaxed Steph and Brandon outside for just a few more romantic shots.
