Family Portraits at Red Rock Canyon Open Space

family portraits at Red Rock Canyon with dogs Colorado Springs

Dog dads J and A wanted family portraits at Red Rock Canyon Open Space to celebrate their one year anniversary, and they wanted their pups to be front and center in the pictures. Aren’t they all just adorable? Cutest family ever! For their part, Maggie and Donner were happy to both mug for my camera and explore Red Rock Canyon Open Space. They made my job a lot of fun!

Mother-Daughter Portraits at Palmer Park

mother-daughter portraits in Palmer Park Colorado Springs

Lori and Jaylin wanted some relaxed, casual, mother-daughter portraits at Palmer Park, which turned out to be the perfect location to showcase the natural beauty of Colorado Springs. It was a glorious day for picture taking — sunny and a little breezy. I had a lot of fun working with them and I love how the pictures turned out! Look how gorgeous these two women are! Not to mention Palmer Park, which is one of my favorite spots for portraits. Thanks Lori and Jay, it was nice hanging out with you and capturing these nice pictures of you both!

Congratulations, Fiona!

I got this graduation announcement in the mail the other day, and it warmed the cockles of my heart! You may remember Fiona’s senior portraits from last fall (HERE). Well, her parents created this announcement featuring this particularly beautiful shot of her, and kindly thought to send one to me. I love seeing my photos proudly printed and shared like this! Congratulations on your achievement, Fiona! You’re a star!

An Homage to Mrs. Roper

I did a super quick photo shoot with my BFF Jennifer yesterday! I love to sew, and when she asked for a Mrs. Roper-esque caftan for Christmas, I was all over it! This crazy fabric is actually an old duvet cover. I must say, that green looks fabulous on her! Anyway, because of the lockdown I haven’t seen Jenn since the end of March. I was so happy to be able to spend a few minutes with her taking these pictures, and she stepped up to the plate by accessorizing Mrs. Roper style, with a super fly 1970s necklace borrowed from her mom (who I’m certain gave Mrs. Roper a run for her money back in the day), a snazzy green purse, and those awesome shoes.  Love you Jenn! Thank you for being my model for a day, you look great in your caftan!

Engagement Portraits in Rocky Mountain National Park :: Liz + Michael

Rocky Mountain National Park engagement portraits

Rocky Mountain National Park is an especially wonderful location for engagement portraits, don’t you agree? Liz and Michael are planning on getting married in September in Golden, and I for one can’t wait. We did their engagement pictures in early March at RMNP, one of their favorite places, and it was a perfect, sunny, early spring day in the park. Just gorgeous!
