Sarah & Eddie

Here’s a great wedding I shot with my good friend Walt Palmer on July 26th. Walt was the primary photographer and I backed him up as the second shooter. I had never met Sarah and Eddie before but neither had Walt, since they live in Germany! They’re both in the Air Force — she’s a nurse and he’s a pilot. How cute is that? Their wedding vows took place at the US Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel and their reception was downtown at the Antlers-Hilton. What a great day! And what a great couple! Walt, I had a lot of fun shooting with you, and Sarah and Eddie I wish you the best!

Sarah made a special photo album for Eddie and gave it to him right before the ceremony.

I caught the color guard practicing with their sabers early in the day.

During the ceremony I shot from way, way, waaaaay up in the balcony.

Maybe I should hire this little girl to be my second shooter. It looks like she was getting a great shot!

Pure joy. Love it!

We found a couple of golf carts outside of Harmon Hall and just had to fool around with them.

Samantha’s senior portraits

Just look at this gorgeous girl! Samantha’s not just any high school senior, she’s the daughter of my friend Angela, whom I’ve known since I was Samantha’s age. Ang and I used to hang out years ago, when I was in high school and college, but since she got married and had kids I’ve rarely seen her. So it was a real treat when she reconnected with me to shoot her oldest’s senior portraits. I just can’t believe that Samantha is already a senior in high school — it seems like yesterday that Angela and George were standing at the altar saying their vows! They really made a beautiful kid, didn’t they? And Samantha’s not just pretty, she’s intelligent, personable, charming and polite. Good job Ang and George!

Jay & Aleisha

Oh my gosh I am so far behind in blogging weddings! Apologies to all my lovely people who want to see their sneak peeks! Here’s a fantastic wedding that I shot at the end of June — wow, what a photogenic couple! Aleisha and Jay were so cute, I couldn’t stop taking pictures of them. I was so excited to shoot their wedding because it was my first time shooting in the gorgeous Grace Episcopal Church on Tejon Street. I’ve been dying to shoot a wedding in there for years and I finally got the chance! It was such a great day, wonderful energy and the weather cooperated, and these two are so in love. You guys, I wish you all the best!

Bridesmaids attire — J. Crew
Ceremony — Grace Episcopal Church
Reception — The Antlers Hilton

With apologies to Mary the flower girl, this picture is hilarious!

Aleisha made button boutonnieres for all the guys.

Beautiful Grace Episcopal Church

There’s nothing like getting a kiss from your new husband and hugs from your best friends at the same time!

Checking out her new bling

Yes I’m mere inches from being trampled to death here, but it was worth it to get this awesome shot!

The button theme continued with the groom’s cake.

There were origami cranes all over the reception. I thought it would make for a cool rings shot.

Aleisha’s uncle gave a very moving toast. This is her expression as she listens to him talk about her mother, whom she lost at a young age.

I love this image, especially the expressions on the faces of the people in the background.

The bouquet toss…

and the triumphant bouquet catcher!

I think Jay’s grandmother was trying to tell me something!

I came across these guys decorating the car as I left.

Beautiful new ways to enjoy your images

Just wanted to show off some of the new products I’m offering lately. I don’t just take your pictures, I offer you beautiful ways to enjoy and display them!

I’m a sucker for anything girly so I just love these trifold folios! They come in a multitude of colors and make a beautiful gift for a loved one or for yourself. They are hand crafted from extremely high quality, archival materials and should be considered heirlooms.

These beautiful folios feature Japanese bookbinding fabric and Swiss ribbons. Lovely!

I’ve also recently started offering custom designed press printed linen albums to be used as wedding guestbooks and for high school seniors. Your friends sign directly on the pages and it’s too cool for school! They’re available in 8×8″ and 12×12″ sizes, and also in a petite little 5×5″ version, which makes a great gift. As with the folios there are many color options.

I custom design the layout of each page. These make unique guestbooks, but I can also design them as regular coffee table albums. It’s a great way to showcase that family portrait shoot!

If you’d like to see all the page layouts from this particular album, please click here

Did you know that I can create custom-designed greeting cards? These are of course great for holidays, but they are also a lovely way to introduce your new baby to the world, ask loved ones to save the date for your wedding, or put out the word that your oldest is graduating from high school. They also make great wedding thank you cards!

My 11×17″ and 20×20″ collages are a wonderful way to present the lovely photographs I’ve taken for you :o) The 11×17″ features four images and looks great whether horizontal or vertical.

The 20×20″ collage features 15 images and a color block with text. This one has become a big favorite with my customers and I just love the clean and crisp presentation!

Jakob, Jessica & Ryan

Jakob’s my new boyfriend! Just kidding. But I do think he’s a cutie! Anyone as cheerful as Jakob is okay in my book! A couple of weekends ago, he and his parents, Ryan and Jessica, spent a little time with me and my camera at the park, and here are the results. I think this is the cutest family ever! And look at Jakob’s blond hair! I had so much fun with all of them and I just love the pictures I got. Thanks for a great day guys!
