I did a cool 1940s photo shoot a couple of weekends ago in Lakewood! My client Holly wanted these pictures to appear like true vintage snapshots, much like those old pictures of our grandparents or great-grandparents living their lives and looking effortlessly perfect in their stylin’ 1940s duds. I purposely did not frame some of these moments expertly, giving them more of a snapshot feel, and I also tried to pose her in ways that weren’t necessarily camera-aware for the same reason. This shoot took a bit of planning, wardrobe and location sourcing, hair and makeup artistry, and finding just the right post-processing touch to make them look legit. In the end I think the images are just amazing and would fit right in with your old family photos. Lifestyle Newborn Photography in Colorado Springs :: Meet Jane
Look at this beautiful baby! Oh my goodness! I photographed Jane and with her parents only a handful of days after she was born. She was absolutely 100% perfect in every possible way. So adorable! Photographing newborns is always a special occasion for me!
Snowy Engagement Portraits
It seems that the crazier the weather here in Colorado Springs, the more potential for dramatic photos, so to create Emily and Michael’s magically snowy engagement portraits we braved a frigid but spectacular 7° day in Ute Valley Park and the Garden of the Gods. So beautiful! It was truly very cold, so we ran back to our cars periodically to warm up (no fingers or toes were lost in the making of these pictures). I love Emily’s emerald green velvet dress — her favorite color — and oh my, that ring! Great job choosing it, Michael! I love how these pictures turned out and I appreciate how willing Emily and Michael were to tough it out for a few minutes at a time and capture some unique and snowy engagement portraits!
E’s Boudoir Session in the Studio
E came to my boudoir studio in Colorado Springs several weeks ago to create some beautiful portraits as a Valentines Day gift for her sweetie. Lucky guy! I’m sure he was stoked! But pictures like these are usually not just a gift for another. As a 40-something, busy mother of three, E rarely has time to pamper herself, and this boudoir portrait session was a form of self care, if you will. Every single one of my clients raves about how beautiful and empowered they feel after their shoot at my boudoir studio in Colorado Springs is over! And of course when they see how magnificent they look in their pictures it’s another boost. You are absolutely gorgeous, E! Rawr! Thank you so much for allowing me to share these!
Men’s Portraits in Colorado Springs :: Stuart
How about some awesome men’s portraits in downtown Colorado Springs? And who is this well dressed man? It’s Stuart, a recent client who wanted portraits with a GQ vibe, as well as some extra awesome head shots for his online dating profile. I love it when my customers ask for something different! We had a lot of fun taking these around downtown. He looked so sharp in his black suit, several passersby complimented him and one guy even stopped us to ask Stuart where he bought his shoes. Looking awesome, Stuart! Thanks for the extra fun photo shoot!
