I did a cool 1940s photo shoot a couple of weekends ago in Lakewood! My client Holly wanted these pictures to appear like true vintage snapshots, much like those old pictures of our grandparents or great-grandparents living their lives and looking effortlessly perfect in their stylin’ 1940s duds. I purposely did not frame some of these moments expertly, giving them more of a snapshot feel, and I also tried to pose her in ways that weren’t necessarily camera-aware for the same reason. This shoot took a bit of planning, wardrobe and location sourcing, hair and makeup artistry, and finding just the right post-processing touch to make them look legit. In the end I think the images are just amazing and would fit right in with your old family photos.
