This downtown Denver wedding was extra special for me. Melanie is an old friend of mine, and I couldn’t have been more honored to be asked to document her wedding to Ben. Where else should they hold this very special event than at the place where they met: the iconic Denver Public Library! In fact, they didn’t just meet there, they both worked there (though Melanie has since moved on to a different branch). What a special place to get married! Both the ceremony and reception took place in the Vida Ellison Gallery on the 7th floor. The view of downtown Denver from up there is spectacular! This truly was a beautiful, personal, emotional wedding celebration and I am so happy to have been the one to document it for them.
Backyard wedding :: Valerie + LaRell
Valerie and LaRell were married on a beautiful, golden, gusty afternoon at her uncle’s home. These two lovebirds met online in a Facebook group, believe it or not. And they fell in love over the phone, since it would be months before they would meet in person — LaRell lived in Oregon! This was an incredibly sweet wedding. You can see how in love they are, just by the way they look at each other. So adorable! Happy honeymoon, Valerie and LaRell!
Colorado Springs wedding photography :: vintage styled shoot at the Pioneers Museum!
I did this fun, 1950s retro styled wedding shoot last week in collaboration with the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum, Rhonda Nichols Floral Design, Sportique Scooters, and Bridal Elegance, a wedding boutique in Colorado Springs, with hair by Judy Marble and makeup by Rachel Barker. All of these gorgeous wedding gowns are available at Bridal Elegance right now! Many thanks to our lovely model Christina, JB at Sportique Scooters, and Haley at the Pioneers Museum. We created some fabulous images and had a great time!
