You probably don’t need to be reminded that it rained A LOT in Colorado this year, and this lovely, lovely Craftwood Inn wedding took place right smack in the middle of that catastrophic week — you know, the one where half of our state ended up underwater. And yet Mother Nature smiled benevolently on us and let off the rain almost exactly on schedule for Shannon and Eric’s outdoor wedding ceremony at the beautiful Craftwood Inn in Manitou Springs. Miracle! I had complete faith that the rain would stop, and it did. It truly was the most wonderful day, unpredictable weather and all. So many of their loved ones came from all over, and you can see the happiness radiating from these two! Congratulations Shannon and Eric, it’s been such a great pleasure!
Mining Exchange wedding :: Sarah and Aleksei
It had rained torrentially for days, so I was worried when Sarah and Aleksei’s big day finally arrived. But Mother Nature had other plans and gave us a glorious, sunny and warm afternoon, and we took full advantage of it by using Colorado Springs’ busy downtown as a backdrop for their romantic wedding portraits. Absolute perfection! This was such a great day!
Peaceful Valley Ranch wedding: Megan & Jesse
The ultimate Colorado wedding! Megan and Jesse met on the slopes, so it’s only appropriate that they should get married on a mountaintop at Peaceful Valley Ranch. What a view! Yes, it rained a little, and no one cared. We were all too happy for them to notice :^)
Flying Horse wedding album: Jaime & David
Just a few snaps of the album I designed from David and Jaime’s gorgeous wedding at the Air Force Academy and the Club at Flying Horse, which they took delivery of this week. What a beautiful book! This is going to be a wonderful memento and heirloom for them!
Grant-Humphreys Mansion wedding: Jaime & Sam
I truly do not have enough superlatives to describe the wedding of my dear friends Jaime and Sam. It’s not often I get the pleasure of working for a friend (although my clients often soon evolve into friends!), so this one was extra special. Jaime never does anything without a ton of style, so it goes to follow that her wedding day was a complete tour de force. Honestly, it was eye candy from minute one to the grand finale! I know that some people like to think that big bashes are a waste, that such an extravagant event with so many painstaking details cannot possibly “mean as much” as a small, intimate affair. Please let me assure you how wrong that assumption is. Jaime and Sam put a ton of creativity and love into every detail, big and small, and they just happen to have a large number of family and dear friends, so the guest list was ample — but there were more tears of joy, hugs and laughter because of it. (Including my own!) I’m posting a few pictures here, but I posted many more on my Click Photography page on Facebook, so if you’re hungry for more just click on THIS link. Enjoy!
