Liz and Brian’s tiny wedding at the Cliff House was such a nice way to kick off my wedding season! It was such an intimate event, only family and a couple of close friends were present. Liz looked beautiful in her satin gown and romantic updo. After the ceremony we wandered around the historic Manitou Arcade for a brief wedding photo session, and Mother Nature kindly held off on the rain until we finished. Congrats Liz and Brian, you’re a gorgeous couple!
Air Force Academy wedding: Emily + Alex
Thought I’d share a few pics of the Fine Art album I created from Emily and Alex’s wedding at the Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel last summer. As I type this, it is winging its way across the Atlantic to them in Europe, where fighter pilot Alex is stationed. I love this beautiful album! It’s going to be such a great keepsake for them, and a wonderful heirloom for Alex and Emily’s future generations. The pictures they chose tell the story just perfectly. I wish I could see their expressions when they open the package and look at it for the first time, reminiscing about their big day!
Dave & Kathy’s wedding at the Sunbird
Kathy’s “something old” was this vintage necklace, worn as a bracelet.
The beautiful bouquet featured pink peonies and white feathers. So romantic!
David watching his bride walk up the aisle on her children’s arms. The reverend is a close personal friend of theirs, and clearly he was touched by the sight as well. Wonderful moment captured by my assistant Allison.
Everyone wore name/description tags as an ice breaker. This is Kathy’s son, Adam. He and his wife Laura are good friends of mine.
The paparazzi line up for the cake cutting.
Now this is how you eat wedding cake! No holds barred!
Rachael & Jeff’s Colorado Springs wedding
There’s something about a backyard wedding that I love. Maybe it’s the idea of getting married at home. Rachael and Jeff literally remodeled their house and landscaped their yard in preparation for their sweet backyard nuptials on Memorial Day weekend. It was a truly great day and lots of fun for me to document. Rachael and Jeff, congratulations!

Rhonda Nichols did all the floral design. I love her work!
The little girls were fascinated by the makeup application process. Adorable.
The moment when Jeff caught a glimpse of his bride walking up the aisle. Fantastic capture by my assistant Allison.
Jeff’s sister officiated the ceremony.
Jeff’s daughter Reagan served as the ring bearer.
Things got a little emotional during the vows. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place. This shot of Reagan wiping away tears just kills me. (Another great capture by Allison.)
Rachael and Jeff live in a quiet cul-de-sac near the Broadmoor with very little traffic, so I decided to put the wedding party in the street for some fun portraits.
My good friend Sandra, who lives only a block from the newlyweds, graciously loaned us her yard for a few portraits so we could get away from the crowd. I couldn’t resist a classic “Town and Country” pose in such a beautiful park-like setting.
Gorgeous summer bouquet by Rhonda Nichols!
Rachael’s makeup was expertly done by Pamela Johnson of FaceBodyFX.
This wedding had so many pretty little details!
The cake was red velvet. Mmmm!
First dance.
