I love shooting weddings in Vail! It’s always so pretty there, no matter where you look :^) The Arrabelle was the perfect, luxurious setting for Sheri and Rob’s romantic wedding. They were married on the Grand Staircase, and everything about their day was sweetly picture perfect. Here’s a little peek a their happiness. Congratulations, Rob and Sheri!
I love a backyard wedding (although technically, this was a FRONT yard wedding!), and Sarah is a good friend, so this was doubly sweet for me! Sarah was lucky enough to grow up in a beautiful, secluded and unique neighborhood in Colorado Springs that is almost like a nature preserve, so marrying lucky Darrell at the house where she grew up was a given. There were only about 20 or 30 people in attendance, and after the ceremony we all went to the Margarita at Pine Creek to celebrate. It was a lovely, perfect day! Congratulations Sarah and Darrell!!!
Last week I did an Art Déco/Great Gatsby styled wedding shoot at the Windham Grand Mining Exchange in downtown Colorado Springs. The purpose was to show off the Mining Exchange’s elegant new ballroom, the Gold Room, in the gorgeous Art Déco era building adjacent to the main hotel. What a fun day! Our model, Inda, drove over 100 miles to be the “bride”, and the efforts of many wedding professionals all working together made this shoot a huge success. I love the results! I took my visual inspiration from Baz Luhrmann’s “Great Gatsby”. Everything came together just beautifully. Here are a few of my favorite images from the day. Enjoy!
