Cheyenne Mountain Resort Wedding :: Emily + Mike

Cheyenne Mountain Resort wedding
A gorgeous Cheyenne Mountain Resort wedding! Emily and Michael live on the east coast but have a love of Colorado Springs, so they decided to tie the knot here. Many of their loved ones traveled from all over the US to be part of their big day, and everyone clearly enjoyed themselves. The party was bumpin’! The highlight of the reception was the trivia quiz held during dinner. As a big pub quiz fan, I was tickled to find that the deejay for the night was Derek, the awesome quizmaster at the Navajo Hogan. What a fun coincidence! Of course Emily was beautiful in her gown, and I especially loved her emerald green shoes, which matched her emerald engagement ring. All around wonderful day and I thoroughly enjoyed being part of it! Thanks Emily and Michael! Congratulations again!

SkyView at Fall River Village Wedding :: Ashley & Chris

Fall River Village wedding

A wonderful Estes Park wedding celebration! Ashley and Chris made it official last month on a slightly rainy, very emotional day in beautiful Estes Park. The wet weather did nothing to dampen anyone’s spirits — this day was a long time coming, and everyone there was just overjoyed to witness their union. ❤ The views from SkyView at Fall River Village are breathtaking. What a special place for a celebration like this!

Congratulations Chris and Ashley! Thanks for choosing me to document your big day!

Surprise Marriage Proposal at the Garden of the Gods Overlook!

Colorado Springs proposal photographer

I live for happy moments like these! Austin contacted me from Texas a couple of weeks before a planned trip to Colorado with his sweetie. He planned to propose and wanted the big moment captured for posterity. We did a little scheming on the sly and determined that the Garden of the Gods overlook on Mesa would be the best spot. On the big day my second photographer Joy and I posed as tourists, and when Austin and Katie arrived, we positioned ourselves a few yards behind them. I’m sure Katie thought we were the weirdest tourists ever as she could feel us lurking behind the bushes as they admired the view for what felt like an eternity. But then… suddenly Austin got down on one knee and popped the question! Of course her response was an enthusiastic YES, then she dropped to her knees to embrace him. A couple of ladies in the parking lot above us witnessed the whole thing and cheered loudly. It was a wonderful moment! ❤ Afterward we went to the Garden of the Gods to snap a few happy official portraits. Congratulations to Katie and Austin! I hope your wedding is everything you dreamed of!

A Tiny Colorado Springs Elopement :: Danielle + Paige

lesbian wedding Colorado Springs

It’s high time I shared some of the fun photos I’ve taken over the last few months, so I’ll start with Danielle and Paige’s sweet Colorado Springs elopement pictures taken in July. They came all the way from Ohio to make it official here, because they love Colorado so much. (Who wouldn’t, right?) We started in Palmer Park and ended up in the Garden of the Gods, and even though it was a little rainy at first, the sun came out at the very end and gave us a brief but beautiful golden glow just before sunset. It was the perfect exclamation point on their big moment! Congrats Danielle and Paige, I loved being your Colorado Springs elopement photographer! ❤ Best wishes on your new life together!!!!

A Broomfield Elopement :: Liz + Michael

Broomfield elopement Denver Colorado

Check out Liz and Michael’s sweet Broomfield elopement! Certainly eloping is not what they originally planned on doing, but world events dictated a change in direction. By necessity, all of the weddings I had booked for this year have either been postponed, drastically scaled down, or a combination of both. Liz and Michael’s wedding in Golden had been scheduled for September, with family and friends coming from all corners of the country. The pandemic put the kibosh on that plan, at least temporarily, but that didn’t stop them from tying the knot! They decided to simply elope in Broomfield, then have the big party whenever it becomes possible for them to do it. The only witness at their elopement was me — there wasn’t even an officiant, they simply exchanged rings and sealed it with a kiss. Love it! I felt really honored to be able to document this. Since no one in their families could come, I think it was extra important to get great pictures of their big moment. Congratulations Michael and Liz! ❤
